Culture
Music is where Philip Hodgins began. He studied at Trinity College Dublin before completing postgraduate degrees in composition and vocal performance at Trinity Laban in London.
His professional path later moved in a different direction, but music never disappeared. Philip continues to follow classical music and live performance closely, particularly opera, choral and orchestral music.
Beyond Music
Philip’s formal training was in music, but his cultural interests have always been broader. They include fashion, art, interiors, design and fragrance.
His perspective is informed by his background in composition and performance, extensive travel and his experience building Palates & Miles as an independent editorial platform. Through that work, he has developed an approach based on research, careful selection and independent judgement.
Philip is particularly interested in how established names remain relevant, how emerging brands build credibility and what gives creative work value beyond a single season.
This section brings together his commentary, recommendations and selected collaborations across those fields.
Selected Partnerships
Philip works selectively with brands and organisations whose work belongs naturally within this world.
Partnerships may include editorial commissions, campaigns, launches, events and longer-term creative collaborations across fashion, design, fragrance and lifestyle. Each one must offer a genuine fit and allow Philip to bring his own perspective to the work.
