About Philip
Philip Hodgins works across business, travel and culture: three worlds that don't obviously belong together, until you know how he got here.
On paper, they may seem like separate worlds. In practice, each has shaped the way Philip thinks and works.
The story so far
Music came first. Philip studied at Trinity College Dublin before completing postgraduate degrees in classical composition and vocal performance at Trinity Laban in London.
His professional work later developed in a different direction through business transformation, consulting and change delivery. It has involved complex projects, regulated environments and the practical work required to move organisations forward.
Travel remained a constant throughout and became an important part of his identity. Philip founded Palates & Miles, an independent platform covering hotels, restaurants and global escapes. Its purpose is simple: to remove the guesswork and help travellers make better decisions.
Today, those threads come together here: sharp thinking on business, honest recommendations from the road and the culture that ties it all together.
